I can understand Hexic and Guitar hero but Bully?

Bully? BULLY is equally appealing to men and women, scoring ten percent of the population of both genders? 10.5% for women, 10.1 for men.

If you’re not familiar with this title, think Grand Theft Auto set in a high school. It’s a typically well done Rockstar sandbox game, where you can either do the story line or just run around creating mayhem (or doing good deeds, whatever you prefer). You make choices – will you be friends with the nerds or the greasers? – and your choices shape your future experiences.

Nifty, gender-free concept, sure. But it’s absolutely not aimed at women. You play as a maladjusted adolescent male, and one of the things you get points for is kissing girls.

And yet in terms of time played… women are edging out the men, just as they slightly edge out men in actual booting up the title. And both men and women score rather well (312 points on average for women, 339 for men).

Man. Imagine if Rockstar made one of these with a female protagonist and decided to knock off the whole “cap a hooker” score system. It could be the title that cracks the gender barrier into a million pieces.

They should've included an RPG since from my experience, just as many females(if not more) play RPGs as much as guys

That article is bull, there are lots of HOT girls in my high school, and guess what they play?

I hate how people categorize someone as a casual gamer, and then that gamer needs to like casual games.

Just because they casually play games like once a week, doesnt mean they arent attracted to beutiful hardcore games.

As a rule and as a group, women's taste in gaming is not all that different from men's. But it isn't quite identical, either. As a general rule of thumb, if a game doesn't have any moments that would cause most women to throw up their hands and exclaim "Men!" in that tone you always hear about in the media and have probably seen for yourself at least once, then it will probably appeal to women about as much as it will to men. But each "Men!" moment will detract from that.

The thing about Bully is that not only are the "Men!" moments are scarce -perhaps even nonexistent- the game actively parodies them on several occasions. So it really shouldn't come as such a surprise that women would enjoy it.

All I knoe is that right now my wife is playing Cloning Clyde so much that it's eating into my Bioshock time.

Though I'm not complaining because it's nice to see her start to game now.

I like RPGs and platformers....does that make me in the minority..?

My GF loves all Mario Partys!
And she liked watching every minute of Uncharted...

I think one of my alltime favourites could be called a game that attracts (some)female gamers. :)
