wow, i didn't expect IU to have number as high as 70K for 1st day sales in Japan

i expect week 2 number to be less than 10K for Xbox 360, but i think week 2 and week 3 will

be a lot higher than ususal 4K.

 

update maybe my prediction aer wrong, it could be > 10K for week 2

I frequent another forum that has a few X360 Japanese users. They said that, although Japan is re-stocked, hardware is moving very briskly, and has sold out in some areas of the Arcade unit.

One such member said that they expect the X360 to beat the Wii this week.

Either way, those numbers for IU are well above expected. Lets hope that 30,000+ new X360 owners decided to pick it, plus Tales up this week :)

Once 360 restocks take effect hardware numbers should be above 10k, at least for a few weeks. Nice to see the bump in IU sales.

Wow, I expected to IU to sell okay but to match ToV's first day sales is surprising. It will be interesting to see what 360 sales in Japan will be like with IU launching, the price drop, and the end of the shortage.

I wonder what MS expectations were for ToV and IU in Japan.

Is this enough for them to keep trying so hard with more exclusive JRPGs? Are the shortages proof they werent expecting such sales? MS still have SO4 coming out and it will be interesting to see what happens!

IU was lawler sucky, nothing to get hyped over.

Now ToV, that is a beast!



  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.
