Forums - Nintendo - Ninty will not attend E for all... confirmed

http://gonintendo.com/?p=55695

I have been trying my best to find out of Nintendo will be heading to this year’s E for All expo. Last year they had a presence that dominated the show. This year, it doesn’t seem like anyone is going. Nintendo was kind enough to provide a statement letting us know that they too won’t set up shop at E for All 2008.

Nintendo has chosen not to participate in E for All, as it did not fit into our plans for the year. We wish the participants and show organizers good luck with the event. - Nintendo statement

This year’s E for All is going to be a very, very quiet event. Thanks to Nintendo and our PR rep for helping us out!

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

It seems E for All will be boring this year.

E for All was boring last year. The only thing I remember was playable SSBB. It had the potential to be the new E3, but developers dropped the ball. A lot of them took a wait and see approach, but there's nothing to see if everyone is doing that.

Ironically enough, Nintendo was the only one of the big 3 that attended last year. Now Microsoft is going and Nintendo is pulling out. It's somewhat disappointing but understandable. I think Nintendo has their Fall media conference/summit around then anyway.

At least they aren't against PAX.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
