you guys are talking as if M$ has done something amzing.
So what if the sales increase, a good console should be selling atleast 25k if not more.

So where does that put the PS3? OT: I'de like to know how many 360s were shipped to Japan for the restock
Neither HD console has taken off in JP yet. The PS3 almost always outsells the 360, but PS3 sales are still dismal in JP.
Maybe JP will skip the HD consoles this generation, or maybe they are just waiting for a cheaper price and a decent game library.
Even the Wii isn't doing great in JP. It's selling the best of any console, but it's really only selling as well as the PSP. Good but far from the DS.
Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Imagine if 360 became the HD platform of Japan from here in. LOL. That would be funny. The only thing to break Japan from America is McDonalds. Could be Xbox next.
Seriously though, Once stock is back up the sales could level out nicely around 12,000- 15,000 weekly. The thing with Japan is they just love their homemade JRPG's. This will be interesting the rest of the year.
So the 360 is supply constrained in Japan, and Microsoft cuts the price? Poor marketing or is someone not being truthful?
Thanks for the input, Jeff.

To inform you, the 360 will have a big shipment on 11th. Seems M$ need to make sure they send more 360's to Japan regularly now. Seems to me Price cut is in tie with the big shipment.
considering how narrow the gap between the PS3 and 360 in Japan is on a weekly basis, the slightest change could have a big impact.

Thanks for the information. The 360 moved 860 units in Japan last week. I hope that shipment isn't too big.

It seems that it's a large shipment - Microsoft has had 3 weeks to send new units to Japan. Why do you hope the shipment isn't too big? Afraid that it may start selling well, and beat out the inferior PS3?
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
