yes this is true, it was originally pencilled in for ps360, then went 360 only, it will be timed like eternal sonata.

if eternal sonata sells more on ps3 then namco should be condemed for that, as they choose backpayment, over raising thier gaming profile

Namco don't need to raise their gaming profile.

They are just choosing to put their JRPG's on the only next generation system that has been proven to sell that genre.

Oh, don't start man. There's no way it can end well, and no point if it did.

I do hope ToV goes multiplat. Great game, imo. I like it when great games can be played by more people.

I'm sick of elitist PS3 fans saying things like "Japanese devs have no credibility because they made a title Xbox 360 exclusive."  Vesperia sold excellently on the Xbox 360, as have many other JRPG's.

didnt enchanted arms sell better on ps3 then 360?

thats very sad if you still think 360 can sell more RPGs.

Total sales of JRPG's on the Xbox 360 exceed 2 million.

On the PS3, im not sure if they reach 200k................

The spin master indeed. The PS3 doesn't have as much JRPG's as the 360! once WKC, Eternal Sonata, FF13/V13 are out, the PS3 shall match the 360 in JRPG sales.

kind of an unfair comparison. ps3 hasn't got a single big jrpg to it's name. 360 has all of them. ps3 has hardly ANY rpg's, 360 has lot's of them.

although i do think that the ps3 probably won't catch up in terms of quality and quantity, but it can come close.

So then you can argue that i am correct by default....

the 360 clearly has the better rpg's quality and quantity wise, in absolute terms. relatively though, at the moment i think it can't be compared.

I will quote myself:

It is the ONLY JRPG (at that time), so you couldn't have any choice as a PS3 owner. Besides that VGChartz hasn't tracked the EU data for the game which could be pro PS3, but also be pro 360 cause it's longer released there.

All I said is that the PS3's strength or otherswise in the genre is unproven.

Surely you would disagree with people that state "the PS3 can sell JRPG's" as fact?

Winning by default is so stupid.

It's like if you're mayor of a city, and no one from the opposite party runs. You won being the mayor, but it's not because you were the best mayor, it was because you were the only one that applied for the job.

It's so dumb.

If people like hollow victories, then have them. I'll wait until the PS3 gets some good JRPGs before I judge the better seller of JRPGs.

now, we just need a date, a release date.

People should calm down a bit. this post is on fire!

if they were stating it as a fact, then yes i would disagree. it's not a fact, simple as. it hasn't been proven and hasn't had the chance to prove it either. but if somebody said to me that the ps3 is capable of selling more jrpg's than the 360 in it's current state, then i would be agreeing with them right now. eternal sonata is a bad example as any sort of proof because timed exclusive games always do better on the first console.

like you said it hasn't been proven, but if you actually think that the ps3 isn't capable of selling more jrpg's than the 360 if it were given the chance then you're lying to yourself.

haha i think ps3 difficult to get good JRPG games
