Delay for quality control?

Has that ever happened?

Delay usually means that something was/is wrong right?

But anyhoo, I agree with your predictions.

More than likely games that are delayed for long periods of time are becuase they got to the testing stage and are deemed bad. Now usually the case is less serious such as bugs or other glitches but sometimes games will come back and are said to be absolute shit and are sent back to the drawing board. Most games after that don't survive and are completely taken down aside from the engine the game ran on.

Disaster more than likely had this issue. We know Red Steel 2 had this issue and there are other games that have been rumored to hit something similar such as Killzone 2. It's really not uncommon. I"m glad its there such that we don't get bad games. Remember smaller individual devs can't do this such as why we get those popcorn arcade titles. They'd never pass the approval of large publishers such as Nintendo, Ubisoft, or Sony.

Anyways yea I'd say my predictions are pretty reasonable considering the title right now.

Are you serious!!?? Hehe I know you are not, nice joke!

I know you think I'm joking but Data Design let's out games purposely that have glitches in the gameplay and visuals.  Ubisoft would never let that pass.  And remember evne Ubi's casual department it still has decent quality it's not all total pieces of crap... just games you'd never buy.

Lol, I didn't want to do this but I feel forced to.

Or this, about Red Steel http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/7071079134/m/4631079025

The sad thing is that they release games without debugging them, and they never answered to anyone in their forums. In fact the Red Steel forums are hidden.

Ubisoft is the worst company out there.

Oh and if you have time read reviews about their games, they will make you cry.

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

trestres- your not understanding what I"m syaing and judging by your sig the bias won't let you understand what I'm saying. So I'll drop it because it's off topic. Talk about Disaster and it's sales not Ubi.

Just to check, because I can't remember personally, but did Golden Sun get any advertising?

I guess you can't read properly then. I'll drop it here anyways but I hope you click on those links I gave you, to see that those games were impossible to play with fatal errors, glithces and bugs that not only crashed the game, but you had to unplug your Wii in order to get it working.

If you are gonna open your mouth, don't ask the rest to remain quiet, that's childish.

And about the Disaster sales I already gave me opinion on the subject.

Thx mockingbird.  You just repeated exactly what last post said.  Obviously your comprehension levels are good enough to mock.  How about interpret?  Doubtful.

I understand those games aren't perfect but they are playable..  Not every game the company releases are going to be perfect and I'm sure some of those Ubi games were quick cash ins but they do have the same rigourous testings like every other powerful publisher to ensure games are playable and hopefully fun.  This is the point you couldn't interpret so hopefully you can mock it.

@Zucas: I had to repeat it because you couldn't read it properly, so if you are going to say something back it up, more than half of the games in that list are buggy games on par with Destination/Phoenix games.

Now you change your arguement, saying not every game a company releases will be perfect, but you previously stated Ubisoft would never allow something like that to happen.

I believe that neither Sony nor Nintendo will let such terrible bugs to make it into the final product, but Ubisoft's Wii quality control is non-existant to the extent that many of their games are unfinished and so buggy that make the entire system crash.

I never said every game went through the same rigorous testing as others. I simply said that "they'd never pass the approval of such large publishers... in relation to the Data Design games". If I had meant to say every game I would have but I didn't. All I meant is that certain games go through certain testing depending on the budget of the game. If it's a big budget game they are going to push the quality effort a lot more in hopes for better hype through the general public. Games such as Red Steel 2, Killzone 2, and Disaster are going to get that kind of treatment. However their cheap cash ins, ports, or "weak" casual game lineups are simply going to be made to be playable in the best sense of words. Something that you can play through. Now that's all by perspective but it's better than some games released through those small indie devs like Data Design were a racer simply becomes cars that wheels don't touch the ground and you have no control over the car at all anyways. Hell there isn't even a time limit to the race and you find out later the race is nonexistent as there is no point to it.

You won't get that out of a Ubi game or any big publisher's game even the ones that are mean to be cheap. I understand you have a deep resented hatred to Ubisoft but they are a lot better than those other companies such as Data Design that put out the real crap in the industry.

Ok, let's drop it here I derailed the thread, back on topic. Nothing to see here.

OT: I'm afraid, as my prediction showed that Disaster will bomb. If Nintendo advertises the game I could see it being a big success, if not, it will go unnoticed, even if it was a great game.
