xman, are you illiterate or did you not see the word "if" in my post?  If as I said earlier those games manage to get review scores in the 9+ range at IGN, then the PS3 will most likely pass the 360 in sales at least in Europe before the year is out and be well on its way to having a better year next year than this year.



My most anticipated games:  Whatever Hideo Kojima is going to do next, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Alan Wake, Wii Sports Resort.  Cave Story Wiiware.

No it isn't. PS3 cost 600 euro's when it launched here, and the PS2 also launched at 600 euro's (and did remarkably well for that price point).

Are you serious? The 33% failure rate was due to them putting out a console before it was ready, MS is not a hardware manufacturer and it showed.


Uhm... research has shown that only 16% of the first batch of consoles worked properly apparently.

Price cut....more games....people just don't want it, surprising really considering the current financial climate.

I blame the uneducated

Not surprising at all. Europeans are in better financial conditions than Americans. Also, the 360's better library will be null by 2010. Look at what Sony has announced, at the rising PS3 sales and change in attitude toward PS3. It's bound to even the odds.

Also, Europeans see one certain thing: the PS3 offers more for its price.

Pretty much if you love the PS3 you should want MS to stay around makes Sony do there price cuts, create better games, better third party support and better all around competition is good for all



PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

You're kidding right? NO company in the WORLD cares about their customers altruistically. It's all to make profit:

If Sony cared about it's customers it would:

- Buy exclusivity in no matter the cost to bring games to it's customers

- It wouldn't release one of (if not) the most expensive console of all time

- You would have had dual shock built in

- Extend warranty for free beyond 1 year (lifetime warranty perhaps)

- Charge $60 USD for a game, $110 AUD here.

- Backwards Compatibility would be available FOR ALL CONSOLES AND IT WOULD BE FULL COMPATIBILITY

 

If Nintendo cared about it's customers it would:

- Buy 3rd party support

- Not release so many high price peripherals

- Drop console prices

- Increase console production

- Introduce a solution to the storage issue the console has

- Provide a decent online experience

 

I'm not saying MS is a saint, far from it, but if you believe Nintendo and Sony are any better as a company, you've just bought into the smiling faces of Reggie and whomever is head of sony these days. You do realise that Nintendo were bastards during the NES and SNES era due to their stranglehold on the market right? and that Sony were equally villainous when they introduce the playstation and stole ALL of Nintendo's 3rd party franchises right?

Also, I've noticed an increase of sony fans shouting the praises of the PSWii, is it because the Wii makes up for the deficiencies of the PS3 that you have to latch onto it like a leech in order to surpass the 360? (I know it's flamebait, but it had to be said, I've noticed an increase in it and I think it's absolutely disgusting that the PS3 fans aren't proud of the PS3's accomplishments, so they have to use the banner "PSWii" in order to make themselves look better as Nintendo looks so good right now).

Panasonic 3D0 launched at $699.99 making it the highest ever. You do make some good points though.

 

 

 Actually, the Philips CD-I was $895.00 when it first released. They had displays set up at Foley's department stores showing off the system and the golf game...

So MS had a better library of games for 4 years interesting.  I would say that the PS3 libray will be getting much better by 2010 I would disagree it will be better than  MS

I bought the 3DO..  Played it for 30 days it was a marvel at the time and returned it for my money back..

That remains to be seen. And also, very much possible. I don't know about better, but up to par sure. The 360 only appeals to me because of Halo, which is fun, and its exclsuive JRPGs(IU, LO come to mind).
