Forums - Nintendo - The Conduit online multiplayer modes

As we all know the game will have standard deatmatch(FFA), team deathmatch(TDM) and capture the flag.

And i guess we're all hoping this isn't the case with the final version, at least i ain't. Only three modes just isn't enough. Here's my mode wish-list;

- Something like CoD4's Hardcore mode, which reduces your health from 100 to 30, which again makes weapons much more deadly. This mode really only reduce the health, nothing else is changed.

- Maybe even One hit kill mode, where every hit is lethal. I used to love this mode in Goldeneye and Perfect Dark on N-64. Again this only reduces health, only this time to virtually 0!

- Elimination, every player has a set amount of lives, so the last man standing is the winner. This mode could also be played with teams, makin it "counter-strike mode"

- Team deathmatch with more than 2 teams, imagine an online match with several small teams, that would be very fun i think.

- Gungame, every player starts with the weakest weapon, as you get kills your weapons gets stronger, and the player who eventually makes it through all weapons is the winner.

All these modes could be combined, if you want One hit kill Gungame, you can do that, if not you just change that, and so on..

I'm also hoping it has advanced stat-tracking, like time spent in single player and online, shots fired, accuracy, headshots, wins-losses and so on..

What's your wish-list?

The gungame sounds like fun but maybe work down rather than up? because after you got some kills you will be a lot stronger. So basically its becoming easier every time you kill someone instead of making it harder.

I love team-based first person shooters, so I love those modes! Small chance they'll make it though.

I think HVS will manage to pack in an extra mode or two besides the three standard modes.

Yeah I agree

Online co-op FTW.

They are shooting for more multiplayer modes me thinks, it's just a matter of them being able to get them in.

Just kiss the tip.

I'm more interested in some kind of of assualt or control point game mode. I like to have goals in my shooters beyond putting bullets in other people before they put a bullet in me. I like modes where my death means something if it allowed my allies to push the enemy back or flank them.

My favorite multiplayer mode of all time is Virus for the TimeSpitters series. Watching a horde of zombies/robots/monkies engulfed in green flames coming after you is a terrifying experience. But then watching as they fall into your mine trap is a beautiful thing.

I also loved Assault from TimeSplitters. Especially defending. Sitting in a corner awaiting the upcoming horde with the minigun: priceless.

I also enjoyed Man with the Golden Gun from GoldenEye. Trying to take down the Golden Gun owner was a trial in patience and teamwork.

Fun times.

You should email that list to them. They seem like the kind of group that is willing to listen to potential costumers, especially if its a good idea. And most (if not all) of the modes you listed are great.

if this doesnt sell well im gonna go crazy

Good ideas from the OP and the rest of the posters. Even if not online, they should at least add more off line modes.
