You could lend VHS, CD, Snes games, pc games, DVD's etc.. ... of course some will copy it, but if you steal it you would lose your library card.. and would never be ble to go to it anymore.. But think about the poor people who can't afford to buy a DVD they would like to see... or a CD.. or a Game..? Now they can enjoy these "other Media" too.. Why is that different from enoying a book? |
I think the overall Western push towards qwasi-socialism started in Europe and is only now starting to spread to America; it is not at all fully accepted and may in fact be rejected. What may now seem second nature in Europe is still a topic of debate in America.
