I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

I couldn't wait till noon tomorrow so I got me the game from a pirate site to breeze over my pain. That games is a huge timesuck, I mean... I spent an hour perfecting my creature, then another hour for my vehicle and building, then BOOOM, I had to design a house and a factory aand a theater and... and... and... it just keeps going. And that time spent isn't even time spent playing.

 

Spore will be HUGE!

It's already out in Europe and I would have already bought if I wouldn't need Leopard to run it on my Mac (I "only" have Tiger).

I'm still thinking about buying a cheap laptop and returning to PC games...Spore and some available and future point&click adventures are extremely tempting.

I don't ever really find any necessity to getting a game the day it comes out, I usually wait for the games to go on sale. I own Diablo II but I didn't get it on opening day.  I was a bit low on money at the time.  I actually own 3 copies of the game now though so my dad my brother and I can all play on our computers.

We need more innovative games like Spore. I don't mean just innovate on like say the "casual" side, but also see some nice things in RTS and FPS genres too, heck RPG wouldn't hurt either. Sadly I don't see either Starcraft 2 or Diablo 3 doing anything innovative right now, they are still a frist day buy for me though!

 

P.S. Ickalanda, just checked out your sig and some of the tunes you have a pretty good.

It's the only game that has come out in the past year and a half for which my computer is a huge amount over the recommended hardware. Sure if you want to have plants which you can step on and see them move, you will have to have a bit nice computer but otherwise no.

Maybe the low specs are because it has been in development since the 6th generation?

If my PC couldn't handle Spore, I would cry. I want the game so bad..... Will our own creatures be able to fight other creatures we have created? If so, I forsee Taco's starting an intergalactic war with the Grilled cheese creatures.
