what effect do you think this price cut will have.

i think that it will cause a sales spike fro about 3 weeks max and then sales will increase by 10k.

during christmas i think that 360 and ps3 will be closely tied, the ps3 offers more and better features, where as the 360 offers less. the arcade is worthless and wont be bought by anyone, regardless of the price. the pro and eleite are the only ones to recive a sales spike. that is why it will wear off after 3 - 4 weeks.

I think it will have a spike for about month then level out, then spike again for xmas season. but PS3 will have a massive xmas, esp in Europe

I think you under estimate how cheap some people are in America. I see the Arcade model selling not through the roof. As much as people knock it, you can still play all 360 games on it. You'll only be limited by how much you can save.

I'm not saying insane sales but it will also interest people looking for a Wii as the Arcade model will be $50 cheaper than a Wii.

 u still think that wii sales are driven by price????
