obviously you and ioi have final say, but I feel like it is wrong to take user submitted screens from gamefaqs (or wherever), post them here, and then put watermarks on them. but whatever its not like i'll complain unless we stick VGChartz watermarks over other company watermarks.

It would make you feel like ebaumsworld.

I submitted some images before that I had cropped to cut off the watermark/site logo.

I assume those are ok even though the image was from another site. Doesn't work so well with some sites that have enormous logos though.

...what this DOES do is allow moderators to officially 'warn' people (warnings as well as bannings will show up in this list) and review the number/type of warnings given a user before deciding to ban them.

- Normal users can only view their own moderation history.
- DB Admins can view everyone's moderation history, but only as it pertains to Database moderations.
- Moderators can view everyone's moderation history, but only as it pertains to the usual forum/site moderations.

In the ineterest of giving me something to do when I am bored I suggest we allow me to review all users mod history. Plus it would give me an idea of how many times I have reported a given users sig (yes it was me that got your sig shrunk whoever is reading this).

@TalonMan: Your reasoning makes sense, but my idea was to trust the poster. Like how it works in Youtube; you can post anything, and they stay in the service until someone who has the rights demands removal.
But now that you think of it, it's not any different from "watermarking everything".

how can you get a DB warning?

break any of the rules for uploading game DB related stuff and I'll send you a warning. The most common reason for me to send a warning, is uploading pics with watermarks, as most people just don't realize that isn't allowed. However, there are plenty of ways you can abuse the DB, but thankfully most people don't mess with it.

I used to keep an excel sheet with everyone's name that I pm'd, but It didn't let me know if other game admins had warned the user either. So this system was put in place to help with that (along with other admin type stuff, but I'm not involved in that).

For the most part, a warning is sent just to make sure you know the rules. If you happen to get a bunch in a short time, or you act like a jerk when all we are trying to do is keep the DB under control, then you could get banned from the DB.
