sorry if I sounded like a troll. I have a DS after all. but I played DQVIII (it was also my first DQ) on my HDTV and it was a real eye-opener for me. it totally got my attention. the entire game is HUGE. I hope they don't botch DQIX.

They have to get it out before the end of the fiscal year, March 2009. Otherwise they are really going to make the accountants angry.

It has to release before March otherwise It will only delay FF13 further as SE wont launch both in the same fiscal year.

Well, it certainly doesn't look like it is going to make it for 2008, and I can see why (no point going up against their own software like Dissidia and Chrono Trigger).

SE has a lot of titles in their pipeline, they need to get them out fast or it will take them like 4 years to release them all. KH: 358/2 days, Chronno Trigger, Chocobo's Dungeon, Valkyrie Profile and possibly DQVI will get released this year in Japan for the DS.

DQIX will probably be released the 31st of March of 2009 at 23:59:59.999999.
