hehe just got an achievement for a 31 hit ground combo :D

just set your group to "combo" and attack a monster that has a lotta hp timing your attacks after the computer controlled character's hits!!

EDIT:

Oh one other thing that takes time to get use to is to use RT (Right Trigger) to draw/sheath your sword.. you have to be careful in the area maps where there are monsters and try to sheath your sword when trying to pick up items like herbs and fruit otherwise you can destroy them with a few accidental sword strokes!! >___>  This is one of the things you need to learn quickly..

Also need this so that you can sit down and talk/cook/alchemy etc in the battle areas.. and having Rucha summon her elemental sprite thingy (Tir Nar Nog) can offer some temporary protection if any monsters sneak up on you.

Oh and killing poor innocent white rabbits for meat to cook is evil!!!! :O

I am stuck on that troll boss after the door, any help would be appreciated!

use the flute(x) behind the dragon (blueish wall)with the revealing song and you will find a path

No, I cannot kill the troll, it keeps on destroying my party, I suppose I have to concentrate on keeping them alive as well as attacking

hmm I didn't have much problem with him... hmmm do you use the Y button asking for healing?

They all die very quickly.... I will try and get them to heal first next time

have you tried connecting with Rucha?   Once this is done get Rucha to summon her elemental sprite-thingy.. Tir Na Nog.  You will have additional firepower!! 

Also if the dragon's fireballs are hurting run towards the stand where its mounted upon and its fireballs will not hit you.

You can also try using the LT button to counter attack the troll boss.. this is VERY tricky but you can stun him enough and keep doing it you'll beat him in no time.

I'm still having a blast at this game although some of the things you have to do in this game .. the clues about where you gotta go next are very vague...  I'm still on disc1 but so far clocked up 26 hours on Normal mode but then I am exploring and doing lots of Item Creation.. btw those that are completing this really quickly are playing it on EASY difficulty since the enemies are fairly weak you hardly need to do any level grinding.

Anyway I made some more vids if anyone is interested namely in showing, CONNECT system and some Rico and Rucha skills. Yes as you can see there are some pretty awful vo in the beginning..

This one is kinda a SPOILER.. so don't watch it if you not got to the point of rescuing Leif the boy.. But my counter strikes actually worked this time..Poor Leif must've seriously crapped his pants after all this..
