Last year the PS3 sold 600,000 in november and december. This year should be higher because there are some big games coming out. 

 

 i didnt know in japan they have a big fall season, if white knight is coming out then its looking to be a killer hit.

No its because the PS3 fanboys wish it so. The game is published by Sony so they know its exclusive, so they are pinning their hopes on it. I have no doubt that the game will be excellent, its from Level 5, but I don't think it will hit 1 million. Few RPGs not named FF, DQ, or Tales do.

WKS would be lucky to do 500k LTD, let alone 1 million...

This game will not reach 1 million, it won't even get near to it (talking about Japan here). Final Fantasy XIII will be the PS3's first million seller in Japan.

But worldwide WKC will sell a million, I'm sure of it.

Hard to say, both will probaly reach 1 million and LO has already sold nearly 800k so WKC needs to sell atleast 500k first week than with good holidays sales.

I think Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World will reach be the first to reach a Million this generation on home consoles. Out of those two I would have to see how well WKC sells to tell.

I am pretty sure people said that same thing about the 360.

 

Lost Odyssey will hit a million first but only because of it had a head start.  WKC might outsell LO and every other 360 JRPGs(though I might be wrong as The Last Remnant and/or Star Ocean 4 might outsell both games).

I simply have to say this. This is a sales site. How many JRPGs have sold over a million that weren't apart of the Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, or Tales Of franchises? You won't find many. That combined with the PS3's userbase makes the chances of WKS hitting a million unlikely at best. The PS3 is finally getting a top notch RPG be happy about it and stop setting yourselves up for the impending "WKS has bombed threads" that are likely to be thrown about by the resident trolls.

LO geeting a pricecut in USA, so that could possible boost sales. Though on amazon the place haven`t mooved much.

Then, x360 is getting a pricecut, that also could have effect, since some rpg lovers may buy x360 for 199$ just to play LO, ToV, BD, IU, F2 and etc.

LO has MORE chances to reach 1 mln. first, then WKC.

More over, for now, WKC for me looks liek a game sligtly above of IU, and that is not a good thing.
It probably will reach 1 mln., but don`t expect HUGE sales in Japan. Maybe 300k first week, at BEST case.
Unless on TGS it will show somethign amazing, and people will run for it. =)

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far
