It said that they are getting help with Wii Speak, and are waiting for approval for LAN play.

I actually prefer LAN parties, I use to do them often in college with various games, and we still do them quite often at work.

Or did you assume that because don't do them anymore they just don't exist?

I actually don't see what's not to like. 12+ hours of alcohol and pure awesomeness of people screaming at each other's face of how much the others suck. A LAN party with the right people is in fact much more enjoyable than just a regular party, strangely enough. Of course I'm talking PCs here not consoles.

Right on to the original statement.  LAN Party support = Wii the Core console.

I dunno. I don't see Wii shooters getting mass attention and recognition since the mass media well... hates shooters.

And the gaming Media seems to require shooters to have cutting edge graphics.

Wii shooters in general i believe will be like like PC shooters.

Completly underrated and ignored by everyobody... except those who play them and expierence the better controls themselves.
