The answer is simple: Nintendo sells every hardware very fast, without giving free software.

Sony NEEDS to give free games to atract more people.

You speak like this as if Nintendo wasn't last generations bitch.

You speak like Sony isn't this generation's bitch.

Do you really think Nintendo cares about 3rd parties? I don't. They are probably satisfied with doing their own thing, and don't like to be come dependent on 3rd parties, or else when they do lose third party support, and the console is dependent on them they will start to lose sales. This has happened with the Snes-N64, and right now is hapening to the PS3(360 has much more third party support, and there aren't to many exclusives on either console to really warrant a purchase). So Nintendo does their own thing, and I don't see how this would benefit them.

Yes, Nintendo cares about third parties, most 3rd parties (most recently HVS) really appreciated how Nintendo was helping them.

THere is a difference between caring about 3rd parties supporting your console, and putting the focus on the Third Parties, as we see in this case.

The fact of the matter is Sony has to use third parties to sell their consoles because they need to make money on the first party titles they do own. If they threw all their first party games in as freebies they'd not only lose money on the console itself but also on the games.

Losing money is the only thing Sony does that Nintendon't

Holy S*!

That was the most massive BURN I ever seen................ LOL.

I guess that ends the thread.

I dunno PSaiki, he might edit those bundles out as well in his OP.

The bundles are there to help the PS3/PSP sell more. The Wii is still selling out so a bundle wouldn't make much sense...

the wii comes with wii sports hmm.

Yeah, it's working out like gangbusters for the PSP. Software sales are exploding for that platform, especially in Europe.

You speak as if Microsoft can actually make consoles...and aren't going to be right beside Sony as the "bitch" - if not dethrone Sony all together. This is between the adults baby MS, as in limited to companies that have actually proven themselves worthy console makers. Let daddy Sony and mommy Nintendo talk...go back to bed.

Okay, so other than:

DS + Guitar Hero
DS + FF XII
DS + FF III
GCN + Tales of Symphonia
GCN + Resident Evil 4
and N64 + Shadows of the Empire

Nintendo does not bundle third party software with hardware.

Sony does what Nintendon't!

What is going to be the best selling software/hardware bundle ever? Hint, it's not a Sony product.

What is going to be the second best selling software/hardware bundle ever? Hint, it's not a Sony product.

What is going to be the third best selling software/hardware bundle ever? Hint, it's not a Sony product.

What is going to be the fourth best selling software/hardware bundle ever? Hint, it's not a Sony product.

You get the idea.
