Do you really think Nintendo cares about 3rd parties? I don't. They are probably satisfied with doing their own thing, and don't like to be come dependent on 3rd parties, or else when they do lose third party support, and the console is dependent on them they will start to lose sales. This has happened with the Snes-N64, and right now is hapening to the PS3(360 has much more third party support, and there aren't to many exclusives on either console to really warrant a purchase).
