Forums - Nintendo - Sony does what Nintendon't!

The answer is simple: Nintendo sells every hardware very fast, without giving free software.

Sony NEEDS to give free games to atract more people.

You speak like this as if Nintendo wasn't last generations bitch.

I wasn't refering to hardware sales, I was refering to third party relations. I mean EA/LucasArts continue to support Sony despite the horrible sales on the hardware. Could bundling with third party software like GTA:ChinaTown boost Nintendo's third party standings.

Do you really think Nintendo cares about 3rd parties? I don't. They are probably satisfied with doing their own thing, and don't like to be come dependent on 3rd parties, or else when they do lose third party support, and the console is dependent on them they will start to lose sales. This has happened with the Snes-N64, and right now is hapening to the PS3(360 has much more third party support, and there aren't to many exclusives on either console to really warrant a purchase). So Nintendo does their own thing, and I don't see how this would benefit them.

Yes, Nintendo cares about third parties, most 3rd parties (most recently HVS) really appreciated how Nintendo was helping them.

The DS Guitar Hero: On Tour bundle disagrees.

read the post.  It's there

So let me get this straight, it's ok for the OP to edit his argument and put aside facts to prove a point? Gotcha.

THere is a difference between caring about 3rd parties supporting your console, and putting the focus on the Third Parties, as we see in this case.

The bundles are there to help the PS3/PSP sell more. The Wii is still selling out so a bundle wouldn't make much sense...

Plus Nintendo actually has good first-party titles to bundle and they don't need to go third-party to find quality stuff to bundle together.
