Forums - General - Gay Gene found. Do you abort?

I'm going to expand the question. If homosexuality is linked to hormone/genes then would you as a parent use a hormone/gene therapy once developed to "treat" the homosexuality?

It is definitely not a choice and anybody who thinks it is has to ask themselves why anybody would choose to be part of a minority that is subject to discrimination, assbeatings, occasional murder, and "separate but equal" rights.

It's not a gene either.

It's a natural process that occurs in some pregnancies due to the communication/transfer of hormones in the womb.

I hope you all have gay kids.

It is a choice though Rubang, in that we're all bi, and some people are just too scared to enjoy all that life has to offer.

Silly monosexuals.

Wrong. I have absolutely no sexual desire in any way to have any type of sexual interaction with a man. As you can tell from my many posts on homosexuality I am definitely no homophobic and have absolutely no malintent towards homosexual or bi people, but, I also have no sexual affection towards males.

I agree with all of the people that said that it is not a choice. Because that is correct. EDIT: Well, most of the time I am definitely sure!!!

The chances of being 100% straight or 100% gay are both equally tiny.

We're all bi, but to different degrees.  You're most likely 99% straight and 10% gay or something.  Don't worry about it.

Besides, how else would everybody turn gay without other options?  I'm talking sailors, pirates, coalminers, cowboys, prison inmates, prospectors, ranchers, soldiers, any time you have 100% men in an area.  People don't just stop fucking for years at a time and wait for women to appear.

Homosexuality is and is not a choice at the same time. For some people its not a choice, you are just more predisposed to being gay or straight. Some people do choose, just like with any other choice. Its free will, not to mention many people are sort of in the middle of the sexual spectrum and gravitate towards being straight simply because it is the social and biological default.

But people generally overestimate the second category where people choose to be gay, and often make the assumption that homosexuality is unnatural. That is just not true, there are hundreds of examples in nature of species engaging in homosexual behavior.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Nah, I wouldn't have the kid aborted. I would just make sure I could find a sport where the kid could be a sissy and get me lots of money.

That's not a choice.  I'm straight, and if I choose to fuck a dude, that doesn't mean I'm gay.  That means I'm a straight dude who decided for some reason to fuck a dude one time.

Sexuality is determined by your romantic desire, not by your physical actions.

and this is another thing. I always laugh when people assume that all ***s are sissies or have "the voice"

Not true at all.

Clearly someone has never seen Canadian Olympic diver Alexandre Despatie.
