Forums - Gaming - PS3 is the only future proof next generation console.

X360 and Wii well we know they have not been built for 10 year lifespans. Both X360 and Wii are good consoles in their own right. They are more designed at cashing in for the short term. Wii is definitely setting the world on fire with its capturing of the casual markets which has boosted sales dramatically. X360 is targeted primarily towards the shooter fanbase with the games that it offers.

However the future of gaming is with PS3 which will push graphics to the highest limits. PS3 is for the high technology video game fan. Blu-Ray, internet browsing, game machine, the all in one console that is the PS3.

Sounds reasonable, but aren't you afraid it will steal sales from the ps4 like the ps2 doesn from the ps3?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Next generation, WTF? Wasn't PS3 supposed to be 7th generation console, instead of 8th.

Considering how much losses M$ have taken from 360, it definately wasn't build for quick cash-in. Then again, PS3 wasn't build to make profit at all and the ten year cycle for PS3 is after all plausible, since Sony can't afford PS4, before PS3 has been ten years in the market, although too bad PS3 won't turn out to be profitable for Sony.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Next generation is a term used to describe the current generation.

PS3 is in the high end product market.

Wii is in the low end product market.

X360 is in the traditional product market.

Three different market segments.

Rock please don't take this as offensive or malicious in any way but you act like somebody who has a really small penis who's so insecure by its size that he'll constantly find ways to bring up in conversation how huge his penis is and how much he pleases the ladies with it  and so forth with your constant glorification of the ps3.

like i said i'm not being malicious at all, i enjoy reading your posts and threads as they're always rather humorous.

nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)
