Are you serious? If you mean global okay maybe but only for US no way!!

I checked my local Target tonight, 4 PS3's with the pricedrop in the case. The really odd thing though, was that there were no 360's in the case, which I haven't seen happen in over a year, I have no clue why a PS3 price drop would cause 360's to sell, but the only thing I can think of is that E3 is helping move units, or either some crazy timing looking in the case on my part. Wii was also sold out, of course. I've been considering picking up the PS3 myself, but with the rumor that the 80GB might drop the price after the 60GB is discontinued, and with the SCEE Pres. hinting at a 120GB, I think I'm going to wait and see what happens. I'm really only interested in LBP and MGS4 anyways and they don't come out until next year.

you say that there are stores that have sold out of PS3's um those store were not sold out before right?=(supply)

 that means people bought them.... most likely because they wanted them = (demand)

previously there was a lower percentage of people buying PS3's and all store had stock now people have went and bought so many that in some cases stores are sold out....That means demand has increased

terrible way to go about increasing sales, trying to make something look good value for money.


yea I would much rather buy things that do not look like a good value for the money....like a Gamecube with a motion controller oops I mean a Wii....

Lets get this straight, the 60gb ps3 is NOT BEING DISCONTINUED coming from sony themselves, again SCEE really has nothing to do with SCEA,the ps3 continues to sell well at amzon and thats good news for me and other sony fans.

seems like they are not saying it will be discontinued nor it will be continued.  so the answer is actually unknown to even sony what they will do after the 60gig runs out in the US.

Wrong. Kaz Hirai (head of SCE) has said the 60 GB will be discontinued. Those are the latest declarations, as far as I know:

what the hell is the deal with Sony? Haven't they heard of the Internet? Honestly, every time some sony executive says "Yes" It's only a matter of time before another says "No".

They really need to keep some people in check and stop people who have no idea from saying stupid comments.
