@all those claiming under tracked

VGChartz only tracks and displays retail sales on the game pages. It is quite possible that it has sold more than VGChartz has listed due to the fact that it is possible to purchase it through the PSN.

Therefore, VGChartz may or may not be off, but showing the total number of online users proves nothing, other than if VGChartz overtracked.

Well would you look at that, that seems like a fairly accurate way to track the game, while I'm sure there's a handful that haven't played a rank game, it is much more accurate than current methods.

"Greatest Hits" doesn't mean anything other than "$29.99".   PS2 Greatest Hits games were 250k sold.

 

 

No they were not. Any game with the Greatest Hits moniker has at least sold a million. It is the global standard for it. If you are trying to go by VGChartz then the game is obviously undertraked if it is indeed a greatest hit.

For some reason, when I posted that link yesterday, it was removed from the scea press site.  I think there may be Sony employees tracking this stuff.  Either way, the press release is on other sites.  Just go back to sept 2003 and it's on several sites.

Greatest hit means at least 400k not a million.

The greatest hit's for the Playstation 3 is that it has to be on the market for 11 months and sell 500,000 copies or more. According to wikipedia that's the toughest requirement's for the greatest hits that sony ever had.
