Forums - Sales - Warhawk Sales: Extremely Untracked

1 million seem doubtfull as there are only 685k players on the leaderboard and the only mode of play is online........

All the official servers are ranked too so highly unlikely many people that bought the game didn't at least play 1 ranked game...

In all likelyhood the sales are actually under 685k as you can have more than 1 psn ID per copy sold...( not even counting rental which will appear on the leaderboard but are not sales..)

So all in all VGChartz is probably not that far of the mark..

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

We regret to inform you that 685,699 unique psns have played at least 1 ranked game of warhawk.

Well would you look at that, that seems like a fairly accurate way to track the game, while I'm sure there's a handful that haven't played a rank game, it is much more accurate than current methods.

1.23 million - 685,699 = a crap load of people.

I don't buy it.

"Greatest Hits" doesn't mean anything other than "$29.99".   PS2 Greatest Hits games were 250k sold.

No they were not. Any game with the Greatest Hits moniker has at least sold a million. It is the global standard for it. If you are trying to go by VGChartz then the game is obviously undertraked if it is indeed a greatest hit.

Oh, that links not working any more. It was working earlier.

FOUND IT!

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6074945.html

To qualify as a PS2 Greatest Hits game, a game must have been on the market for one year with 400,000 copies produced, it must have sold more than 250,000 units, and it must be deemed to have increased demand for PS2 hardware.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
