I hoped that it would be about a new Commander Keen game... you have hurt my feelings.. :(

Likely, a new Keen game will never be made. However, if they DO get around to making some again, it'll probably be episodes 7-9, The Universe is Toast!

Story goes that the Shikadi's Gannalech was Mortimer McMire controlling their minds like he had the Vorticons. Just like the Vorticons, he commanded them to call him the Grand Intellect, but they had trouble with that so they called him "Gannalech".

Anyhow, he defeats the Omegamatic, but Mortimer isn't there. He DOES learn, though, that Mortimer's newest plans are to destroy the entire universe. However, since Keen's IQ is 314 but Mortimer's is 315, Mortimer's always one step ahead of Keen, so Keen retires home to try improving his gadgetry for his next encounter.

While working on that, Mortimer sends the Bloobs to kidnap Molly and distract Keen... just long enough for him to get his work to destroy the universe under way!

Keen saves Molly, returns to Earth, and this is where episode 7 is supposed to come in. If it's ever made.

I remember playing them. They were a lot of fun back in the day. I will have to check out the links when I get home tonight.

GOd I loved that series when I was a kid,haven't played a keen game in 15 years.

Yeah. Me too. :( The demo of CK6 (aliens ate my babysitter) was the first computer game I ever played in my life. I loved that game. (Still have it too, Dosbox FTW!!!!)

If Commodore games count, then I couldn't tell you - I was two when I played my first.

As for actual PCs, though... the first I remember is Prince of Persia, the week it released.

PoP released in 1989. The Keen games released in 1990 and 1991. The Dune games released in 1992 and 1993.
