I read both of its manuals, I updated the firmware version to 1.11 (I think, which ever was available 2006-12-12) then I read the PSN terms and service. A good while later, I poped in Resistance.

I made my PSN account and played didn't play anything, until I got my HDMI cable through the mail. Once that came I played Resistance: Fall of Man and enjoyed it!!
