Well if you add up software sales from psp,ps2,and ps3, as well as consle sales form psp, ans ps2, and ps3 in some regions its not impossible but unlikely that they have gained 2 billion already.

Bull dust... have you read the financial report? You obviously haven't there is no way you can turn around something like that that quickly in the business world.

The question is, where were the losses coming from in that time? The losses were coming from the Hardware cost. It's impossible to turn around losses the of that magnitude within a quarter. No way, no how.

Ori calm down. If you go read about this bloomberg story on other boards its stated that they got their report WAY wrong here, and that the PS3 was in fact not profitable before the drop. But again we all knew that, the numbers just dont lie.

 So basically people on message boards with no "connections" inside Sony are claiming this to be false?  And what exactly makes regular joes know what they are talking about more so then Bloomberg?  I call shenanigans unless you can supply us with a credible link.

From the article:
"Sony said in May that higher sales and lower production costs will help reduce losses at the game division by almost 80 percent this fiscal year to 50 billion yen ($405 million) after a record loss."

So ... if they are profitable, tell us why they are still tracking to lose 400 million dollars into March 2008?

Well back in march the diodes still sold at a cost of $125 a piece, unlike $8 a piece now.

Anyways I explained how the PS3 is cheaper to manufacture in a thread months ago. Not explaining it again.
