Forums - Nintendo - Remodel DS?

I personally think the DS is the greatest system Nintendo has made- thus far. I'm not sure another remodel will do it good. They have come out saying that the DS Lite is their most recent, and they are not going to make it over again. I kind of doubt that given what they did to the Game Boy Advance. Really, there's not much other than shrinking it again, and adding that second touch screen according to rumors. Should they make another DS? Call it Nintendo DS Mini. Make it about 4" wide, just long enough for the screen, and an inch for the controller buttons. Make it so the games fit directly side-by-side. Would be small enough to fit into your tightest jeans- wasn't that the idea of the Game Boy Micro?

well the Bame Boy Micro is my favorite handheld ever, so Im for a DSMicro.

I don't think they will make a remodel soon, maybe in two years? If they make a model it's definetly going to be smaller. They should also make it stronger because the DS Lite brakes too easily.

How much smaller could they make it? I can barely hold it in my hands as it is right now (the lite). Maybe I should've gotten the Phat DS instead.

The remodel should never give it a bigger or smaller screen--touch-screen-based games have been designed for a certain size. Some games would be incredibly easy or incredibly more difficult with the smaller screen.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

thats a reason im holding out for a new one a second touchscreen! (if the rumours are to be believed)

second touch screen would be a new handheld rather than a remodel as only a handful of games would use it. plus it wouldnt add much. i reckon maybe make a remodel with longer battery life and a screen more resislient to scratche sor something

Yeah, new controls would be bad things to add to it. Shrinking further would also probably be annoying. If they were to add anything the only thing that I can think of that I would like to see added would be some internal memory and its own VC type functionality. You can get some older games now with the GBA port but VC could give a wider selection.

2 iPhones duct-taped together? Oh, and some buttons too.
