@Forevercloud, Yes SE has say, but when it comes down to it the decision is the choice of the Owner of the IP and that is Disney.

Doesn't matter. The director doesn't decide where the game goes. Nomura has little influence where the games goes, only Disney and the SE higher ups decide.

 

Hideo Kojima has full control over his ip's, that's why it's a PS3 exclusive. Same with Nomura and KHIII.

 

Say what? No he doesn't. Say Kojima left Konami for example, Konami would have full control over the IPs. The reason MGS4 is PS3 exclusive is because Konami as a whole believe it can't be done on the 360.

Let's not get into this argument, shall we?

 

This might mean that they have control over their characters and how they're potrayed. Disney doesn't make the games.

 

OK, let me compare this to...Level 5 and SE with DQ.

DQ IX is being made by Level 5, but SE owns the IP. SE (or Disney in this case) is the MAIN decider of the game becuase they own the IP. Unlike with DQ though, SE have soem say but Disney makes the final decision. The director of a company that doesn't own the IP can't do SQUAT.

 

I agree with what you're saying but it's not the same situation. SE just outsources and has Level-5 make DQ. KH is more of a collaborative effort between the two parties: SE and Disney. Disney doesn't make the games, so more control over the ip is in SE's hands. It's not just a Disney game with only Disney characters.

 

Actually...the game is PRIMARILY a Disney game. Sora, Riku, Kairi, Keyblades, Org XIII, Namine, all the worlds, are DISNEY OWNED. EVERYTHING IS DISNEY OWNED . The ONLY things Disney DON'T own are the FF characters, and they're not originally part of the KH series anyway, they're JUST cameos.

 

But square develops the game...........

How many PS last generation exclusives were also exclusive this generation or even on the system? Not many. We've already seen the Main Series FF, DQ, SO, etc from square enix jump boat. I'm sure the first two games being released on the PS2 means nothing. Also if you haven't noticed, the PS3 isn't doing any ps2 sales here. So if it does go to HD consoles it will most likely be multiplat.

 

 

Star Ocean is still said by SE to possibly come to PS3. So you can put that one in the Timed Exclusive/Maybe pile. DQ did, yes, but that is ONE game. What I meant by my post is that is will ASSUREDLY come to PS3, no matter whetherit be exclusive or multiplat.

FF is still on PS3

Disgaea still on PS3

Ratchet and Clank still on PS3

GTA 4 still on PS3

Devil May Cry still on PS3

Resident Evil 5 still on PS3

Tekken 6 still on PS3

What I am getting at is that these games used to be held as PS exclusive titles but some went multiplat. Nevertheless they are still available on the PS3 console. Meaning they will still be on PS3. They are just not going to forsake the system entirely.

This is just the typical rumor that has appeared for YEARS every time a big Japanese event happens. Nothing more. Maybe next year we can talk...maybe.

small team?? The team  includes many members from the KH, FF7 and FF8 teams.

Then considering the core KH team members are busy making Versus too, I am pretty sure KH3 announcement is bull. :\

And the Rumor in the OP says it will be exclusive. Though I agree if it does go to the HD consoles it would be multiplat. I'm pretty sure if it was a Wii exclusive it wouldn't since the difference in the systems in input, and graphical capabilities. Either way we shoudl just wait and see. There is evidence for it to go to just about anything. I could mention some games though that aren't on the PS3 that were exclusive to PS consoles before, but feel there is no need to.

this news is absurd... most of KH sales come form the US, that is where the 360 is way above the PS3, so why in hell would they make this PS3 exclusive??

FF games sale better in japan than in the US and yet they still decided to port the game but here you guys argue that they would put this one as exclusive???

This game will not be PS3 exclusive, that is a given... all rest is unknown (as a 360 exclusivity would make sense for the reasons put above... same for a wii).
