Er, what about the Chief's energy shield from the 26th century? How's Snake gonna pierce that?

Thats the question i'm asking. Even without his armor the character is still genetically superior to Snake. He's over 7 ft tall, he has superior military training, is ten times stronger, has gone through body modifications and enhancements.

Snake would use the unlockable Solar Gun to drain away the Chief's shield.

Also, do not forget that the Chief is ALSO an unrivalled expert in the stealth arts--read the books. They just decided not to go that route with the games.

 Master Chief was born in 2511. Think about how many years ahead his combat techniques are? He's biologically and cybernetically augmented and enhanced By the UNSC as a child. Master Chief was one of 32 spartans who survived the experiments. By 2552 he was ready for what happened in Halo 1:Combat Evolved if you read the novels. Snake was meant to die. I think you pro Snake fans are stretching common sense.
