easy math realy i calculated it myself!! seeing that mgs4 has been selling an average of 80k a week 

with the ps3/mgs4 bundle , the increase sales of ps3s , holidays around the corner, i predict that the AVERAGE weekly sales of mgs4 will stay close to 80k a week throughout the rest of the year!

so we got 18 weeks left multiplied by 80,000 = 1,440,000 copies

plus the 3,000,000 already sold = 4,440,000

so you think it will sell more than 5,5 million in the end?

that would make it a true success.

Truly. MGS 4 is guranteed to pass MGS 3 but it'd be very nice for it to pass the first or second.

Considering what is MGS4 for the PS3 : the biggest exclsuive.

We can guess the game will continue to sell over the holidays season.

I think it'll definitely pass MGS3 in sales, which would be fine, but the game is already a success.

Passing MGS1 or MGS2 would be a feat, but that won't happen.

But 4.5 mil lifetime, plus the sales from MGS4: Subsisisisisisisisistence could put it to 5 mil.

4 million is a true success.

At first I thought that was a bold statement but not knowing how many weeks there are left (who does actually care - I don't, as long as I know which day of which month it is). However, it sounds fairly reasonable. I wouldn't still be so sure about it but it's definitely possible and it the sales don't drop, there's a chance for even more than 4.5M due to the holidays.

MGS4 will be pretty succesful. I did expect it to outperform MGS3 but not by very much. However, now it seems MGS4 might even make 5M or even more than that. Still a bit too early to say, though.

Little increase in PS3 sales in Others thanks to 80gb launch showed MGS4 and GTAIV going up. So i think in holidays sales of these two titles will keep increasing with PS3 sales.

As long as piracy is non-existant on PS3, i think MGS4 will see steady sales as it is the one must have exclusive game.

As long as it hit 4 million, i will be happy
