Forums - Gaming - In your opinion, what makes a game more memorable: Graphics or Music

Music for sure, I find myself humming themes from Wind Waker and Mario 64 and Galaxy and Super Smash and even Mario Kart all the time.. For me they are the what brings back the greatest nostalgic memories.. especially some of the music in Galaxy.. reminding me of past Mario games.. I loved it :D

I really never think of the graphics when i think back to a game, I think about the feelings I had towards the game and the music helps with those feeling.. Windwaker, the music making you feel lost at sea or on a grand adventure and Ocarina of time as well.. I can't even remember what Banjo Kazooie was really about but I remember the music and the feelings I had playing the game..

Music!
With the years{months}the wow effect for graphic fades slowly away.
But a great melody can be catchy for years{decades}to come.
In this very moment i am whistling Secret of Manas intro theme{the one with the flamingos flying in front of the Manatree}. XD

Secret of Mana had damn good music! Loved the music when you fight the Dark Lich at the end!

Mario Galaxy also has incredible music, I would go in the Ghostly Galaxy only to listen to the music.

depends on the game, i vaguely remember the music form ff7 but at the times the graphics were wow and i still remember them

where as ff10 had great music and the "chant" still sticks with me today

also looks at teh original super mario bros...thats some songs we gamers will never forget

Little bit of Column A, Little bit of Column B

well i remember sonic not for the graphics but for the music, with older games like the 2d one it was all about the music, but since the 3d transition its all been about the graphics for me

I like a good soundtrack but graphics are important.
So both I guess.

Graphics will make me sit up and take notice, but good music lasts longer than graphics.

I still remember some of my favourite games from their music, Homeworld was fantastically beautiful at the time, and though the graphics still hold up well today, the musical score was incredible.

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

Looking for game music , I found this guy on youtube who did a top #30 of the best SNES tracks.

Check it out game music lovers : http://www.youtube.com/user/BestSnesMusic

Story and Gameplay 0.o!!

But if I had to choose out of those 2..... I guess I would say graphics...... rarely do I here a soundtrack so good that it helps me remember a game.

4 ≈ One

Graphics.

Put it this way- good music wont help poor graphics.

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD
