Forums - Gaming - Just sold my Wii

I am thinking of selling my Wii because it's going for more than its price on Ebay. I figure I would buy one again later when it's normal to get them at shops and pay the normal amount for it and it would have more games to play on, but I haven't decided yet.

There is Metroid in August that I want to play so I dunno...

I am also thinking of just lending it to a friend till late August.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

If you look for the games you will find them. If you keep complaining that there are no good games you won't...

This perception of no good PSP games is really becoming group think.

PSP has horrible games, except Key to Heavon, that game was beautiful.

Each to their own I guess. I have never sold a console - except for my NES - which was a terrible mistake, and I regretted it so much (this was years after it was off retail).

If this is for money reasons - then it isn't such a bad move. Only comment is that you'll lose all your saves, Miis, messages, contacts - and any VC titles.

If you haven't got much in the way of all of that, then selling it is no big deal. I couldn't even consider selling mine - using it more everyday ATM.

That's a bad idea, maybe your friend breaks it or something, and he will only say "well... shit happens :"

Or he can sell it and say it was stolen

Ok, seriously. Go buy a PSP, and look at the games you have to choose. I have a demo for a game on the PSP... dont even rember what it was, been having so much fun playing PS3... buhahaha...

But no, I have almost as many PSP games as I do DS, and in 6 months will have more.

Monster Hunter will count for 2 of the games I plan on getting. Wanna get the old one and the one not quite out yet. But seriously.

Locoroco, Killzone:Liberation, Daxter, and many many others. I would say harvest moon, but meh. It sucks by all harvest moon standards. I have more money than I can spend and I quit playing it except when I'm bored out of my brain, but I'm in the first month, and have almost enough money to buy everything. I did not read a guide to do that either.

I wasn't using it at all and figured it would go into good hands somewhere. I'll buy another one down the road but I'm a very impatient gamer; if a system doesn't have a bunch of games I want to play now, it sits and collects dust. Nothing against the Wii, but there's not a lot I want to play on it and the 360 will keep my appetite satiated through the holidays. I figure I'll buy a new Wii sometime early next year, hopefully when they offer new colors.

BTW, how much does it rock that I bought a Wii 7 months ago, played the crap out of it for awhile, and then sold it for $70 less than I paid for it? That's essentially renting a console for $10/month. Kick ass.

So, let's share a moment of silence for the passing of Rocketpig's Wii. Oh, and please don't flame this f***ing thread. The Wii is a great system, just not enough games for me right now. Thank you for your time.

I'm surprised you didn't get your full price back from it.  And I'm also surprised you didn't save it for Super Mario Galaxy, SSBB, or Metroid Prime 3 (if you were looking forward to any of them).

ps. I really wish I would have done the same thing though with the Gamecube considering I'm currently using it in it's orginal box as a footrest right now.  I should have sold it immediately after beating the mercenaries games in RE:4, I probably could have gotten $80-$100 for it.  Of course all might not be lost if I can ever find Eternal Darkness for it.

I really cant' understand why you personal life should interest us...

you are one.

in the world there are more or less 9 million people that think different....

ask why...

Good for you. You added a Wii back into the market when it is desperately needed!

Nobody have asked the most important question...why did you sell it with a loss

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!
