Forums - Gaming - At what point will you consider PSN to be ahead of Xbox Live?

PSN has over ten million users and counting(i know multiple accounts). Its across two platforms, constantly updates itself with firmware and new features. It has a video service now and a music service on the way. Home will probably launch sometime before we're all dead. And it has truly unique games andways of distributing content.

And of course this is all free.

No Im not listing XBL features because this is not a comparison just a thought requiring feedback. Beside we all know that Xbox Live is the originator and still the most gamer freindly hub for online goings on.

But with the PSN's unstoppable momentum what will it take for you personally to see the Playstation Network as the top tier online service?

The reason been?

Gran Turismo 5.

When custom soundtracks in-game and trophies become the standard on every new release.

When they start charging for it.

Seriously, it seems already about on par with Live except for a few features. If Microsoft doesn't do a hell of a job answering back with their fall update, then I think it'll be pretty safe to say PSN is the premier service once Home finally drops (even though I'm not excited about it, personally).

yea, psn is acceptable now.

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

They are pretty much equal now, IMO, with the PSN slightly ahead because it is free.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

When people who prefer live actually use the PSN...

PSN has came a long way in two years. With PSN growing exponentially, and 360 not, it's all on the fall update for 360 to stay ahead of the curve.

If Primetime and avatars fail to impress...

When Sony release an official headset.

God damn you! Release it already!!!
