My big problem with GoW is that I didn't like the heavy focus on puzzles. While there are undoubtedly good ones in there, there were a lot of bad ones that were just in your way is if to meet some kind of quota rather than to get the players to think or to add challenge. I also didn't care for the fact that, for the most part, GoW was about fighting small groups of enemies to the point where you're often in 1-on-1s against regular enemies. I like large scale battles, which is why I'd play the much simpler Musou series over GoW anyday.

I do agree that the art style/world of HS is much more interesting that GoW (in terms of enemy designs, for example), but I didn't like GoW's setting to begin with so...

 How about both.  It be just wrong if at no point in time do th e"looks" become a factor in the game play.

Yahh iam with you on the puzzles, I just hated them the slowed down the game way to much. HS has a huge battle agianst a freaking army, but they probably could have not done so many characters with the Ps2 hardware.

Gow did not have enough boss battles, good thing Gow2 fixed that.

Too bad that Heavenly Sword could be going after the Teen rating. I thought I read that there isn't going to be a whole lot of blood, which reminds me of the Total War series not including a whole lot of blood to keep the Teen rating.

The game looks pretty sweet, but the demo is going to play a factor if I buy it or not, but I know I'll rent it if I get the chance.

Blood doesn't add anything to the game experience as far as I'm concerned. Whatever they need to do to sell more, they should do.

Eh, I'd rather see something if I'm slashing a sharpened object at somebody's bare arm.

I'd rather see blood than some little puff of purple, yellow, or green looking smoke when ever a strike connects.

Flipside: All these threads that claim Lair, Heavenly Sword, etc will be "teh bestest evah, and will save teh Ps3" is just as tiresome. Almost every game can be made to look brilliant before its released. Until these series have a proven track record, there is no reason to believe they will be any more than the next Bouncer.

It looks pretty for sure...but I'm not sure about this game yet...I'm still not into the whole "press a button at the right time" gameplay.

It's not bad, I just don't care right now I guess.
