Are you serious!? Have you looked at average sales of the PS3 in Japan for this year. Even if the PS3 sold at a Wii like sales rate of 35 to 45k a week in Japan between now and the 4th Quarter of 2009 it wouldn't have 5 million units old in Japan.

We can go on and on but as M$ keeps gunning for Sonys games its not making that much of a difference. SO why write something like this?

M$ has a great system so does sony and ff13 wont make sales turn for the better of anyone really.

i still think that securing the exclusivity of ff13 in japan is very important, its like soccer, if opponent's weakness is at the left defender, u should try to strengthen your right winger and attack it. 360's weakest market is in japan so sony needs to secure the FF game there, in order to widened the sales between ps3 and 360 in japan.
PS3 can catch up lots of ww sales gap using this japan strategy, as FF is one of the biggest gaming series in japan.

as for square enix, i do think they feel absolutely comfortable for not releasing 360 version ff13 in japan, because:
1) MAYBE they are getting paid by Sony
2) if the game goes multiplatform in japan wat will be the sales of the xbox version? 100-300k? i will believe the game is big enough to persuade 100-300k of 360 users in japan to buy a ps3 for ff13. the sales will not be affected much even though the game is exclusive to ps3 in japan (i agree if its exclusive to ps3 WORLDWIDE then the sales will be affected alot)
3) if it goes multiplatform in japan, they will suffer needless delay for the game as the porting to 360 is not even started yet.

I spoke to Japan (yes all of Japan) and they all intend to learn English, and buy American 360's AND the American version of Final Fantasy XIII when it comes out. Shocking isn't it.

Final Fantasy XIII surely is a massive important game, even though its not exclusive anymore.

square have already confirmed that ps3 version wont be gimped down because of multiplat status, in fact 360 version isnt even started and even more in fact there still not decided on how many dvd`s 360 version will have to need.

its not me thats said "no ff13 on 360 for japan" it was the writer and director, and reps from square who said so.

as it stands its looking like no ff13 on 360 for japan, what is for sure is ff13 will release on ps3 in japan. and i predict absolutly huge sales and huge system sales in japan, and thats what matters most

upon release of ff13 in the west, its obvious for a gamer on which version they would choose, ff13 will sell more ps3`s and sell more software units than 360 units and 360 software sales.

so actually the importance of ff13 is still there. 360 version could mabey possibly make its way later, but it would have lost all its importance in japan by then.

I read one time starcraft made a thread that claimed FF XIII was going to be on the X360 in Japan. I literally pissed myself laughing seeing all the responses made in that thread. Classic spin as you expect from starcraft.

Hello starcraft please read this thread/post. FF XIII will be exclusive to PS3 in Japan. Sorry the truth hurts starcraft. Such is life.

I was so upset that FF XIII was even coming to the X360 in Europe and NA.

PS3 version of FF XIII will be superior to the X360 version. PS3 FF XIII is on One Blu-Ray disc. It will have superior graphics and sound and scratch free.

I suspect the reason for this is way more mundande than what most people here think. They just can't afford to delay it anymore, they need some sort of revenue soon. Squeenix biggest earners are mainline FF's and DQ's and there hasn't been one of those for quite some time.
