Forums - Nintendo - Zelda Wii Will Outsell OoT.

VGC has OoT sales at just under 1.5 million. Is that correct? If so, this thread is pretty obvious and shouldn't exist.

What are you talking about?

7.6 million.

OoT sold around 12 million copies. No way will Zelda Wii sell that many. 6 or 7 million tops.

Jesus what website are you and blunty on again?.... how hard is it to check.

I believe it was undertracked and we are dealing with old sales data. Or am I mixing this game up with Super Mario 64 which sold around 12 million copies?

Did I just go back in time, or did we not already get a Zelda Wii, called Twilight Princess?

(by the way, I doubt there is a point to talking about a game whose only information is that the team is "working on something". Also, you're pitting this in development game to a launch title, that had to share sales with a gamecube game and to a much smaller userbase)

I can wait for a Wii Zelda with "orchestra" music like SMG had, TP just has Midi music or something.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

The latter.

Old games are not undertracked on VGC... they either have information or they don't, so if a game from N64 or earlier has all three regions filled in then it is accurate. (it will be taken from shipped data)

Midi is good... you can do a lot more with midi regarding fading and mixing (like if you are running between two areas it can change subtley rather than just loading a new track)

Orchestra is only better than Midi when you have big ass quality speakers. And even then it's not massivley noticable.

The difference between ordhestra and MIDI is massive. Just play Twilight Princess and listen to the hyrule field song, then go download the orchestra version and the difference is night and day.

Also I think Orchestra has come a long way as far as being interactive, Mario Galaxy is a testament to this. When you fight Bowser the music seamlessly changes when you flip over Bowser and are ready to knock him out.

I can't say I noticed.... I play games on an old 15" portable tv with 1 speaker on the side though.
