A few weeks ago my brother knocked my wii over while I was playing Super smash bros Brawl and I thought nothing happened. So last week I tried to play subspace emissary and I get a disk read error. I try to load it again and the same the happens. I then take the disk out and I see 2 huge scratches towards the edge of my disk. I then test everything else in the game and they all work fine. So my parents are replacing the disk so, should I get a new copy of the game or get twilight princess. The only reason I really want it is because of homebrew and the ability to play my old imported gamecube games, but I might play the game if I get it. So which should I get?

There's a glitch in Twilight Princess that's necessary for hackers to install homebrew on it. I'd tell you the details, but they're all way over my head.

As to the original question, how attached are you really to Brawl? If it's not too much, might as well get a new game. Optimally, though, you could use a disc doctor to repair the scratches on Brawl, which would hopefully fix all the problems.

tres confused about the homebrew thing. not sure which game is best, ive spent like 50 hours with brawl but over 100 hours with TP

I'm mostly interested in the classic version of brawl as I really think subspace emissary is boring.

I'm ordering a game today, any last words?

Get whatever you want.... but I don't think you need TP to play imported GC games.... doesn't one of the freeloaders do that?

I think you have to have an original copy of Twilight Princess (in other words, Nintendo fixed the problem and new discs don't work), but I haven't really followed any of the homebrew stuff at all, so I may be wrong.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
