Matt, confirmed it based on his inside knowledge. Keep in mind that IGN editors have a very strong professional relationship with developers. I'm sure the game is coming out, but I dont think he ever mentionedthat it was being done by factor 5.

The IGN Ninty team has know about House of the Dead: Overkill for over 1 year.

I can still hope Factor 5 will make some magic on the Wii like they did on the N64 and GC.

And if MOON turns out to be good, I can't wait to see more about this Son of the Dragon game.

Unless they announce it before March 09, I might be able to ask the guys at Factor 5 at GDC when I run into them. Met them when they were early on developing Lair, pretty cool guys. They don't respond often to emails, as does any dev.

Actually Matt was the third person to confirm KI being in development at Factor 5. The first was poster at the Kombo forums that has industry ties and then Kombo.com themselves posted the preliminary artwork for the game.

 

 

So IGN based their  assumption in a post in a messageboard? DANG! :/ I wonder if IGN still have credibility after that fiasco. Looks like Nintendo Power teasers to me XD

 

Kombo is a web site that formerly was know as Advanced Media Networks. They have been around for quite some time at this point and the poster in question worked in the gaming industry and still has friends and family in the industry. The poster was the first to say anyting about KI being developed by Factor 5. Kombo.com posted the information on Factor 5 developing KI at a later date after confirming the information with their own sources. I assume that IGN did something similar.

So the one gives the rumor have a credibility after all. Though Im still in doubt though, just look at my sig... Atleast he was right  about Factor 5 making game for Ninty on the Wii...

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

Amazing news if true. This could mean Factor 5 making KI and "Brash". While Renegade Kid making "Son of the Dragon". Gunhead is probably an HD/PC game.

I still want to know what Retro Studios is making.

Anyways I'll wait for an actual confirmation.
