Actually Matt was the third person to confirm KI being in development at Factor 5. The first was poster at the Kombo forums that has industry ties and then Kombo.com themselves posted the preliminary artwork for the game.

 

 

So IGN based their  assumption in a post in a messageboard? DANG! :/ I wonder if IGN still have credibility after that fiasco. Looks like Nintendo Power teasers to me XD

 

Kombo is a web site that formerly was know as Advanced Media Networks. They have been around for quite some time at this point and the poster in question worked in the gaming industry and still has friends and family in the industry. The poster was the first to say anyting about KI being developed by Factor 5. Kombo.com posted the information on Factor 5 developing KI at a later date after confirming the information with their own sources. I assume that IGN did something similar.
