Hey now I am openly admitting that the numbers I am quoting are coming from ridiculous Sony fanboys only. This happens with all ridiculous predictions though regardless of console. Some fanboys were running around bashing Wii fans for all predicting 750 million Wiis would be sold by the end of the generation. Anyways I'll try to find the posts I am looking for but it will probably be hard.

oh well if you admit that you're only talking about the ridiculous Sony fanboys then I'm all good. No need to look up the posts Gniz. It's not that I don't think they exist, I just hate people saying "Sony fans said _____" as though every Sony fan believed what their most crazy representatives said.

It's hard not to base general fanbase expectations off the most crazy predictions simply because those are the ones you're most likely to remember.

- The game will be under heavy marketing, the likes of which very few games have recieved. Halo is a game that sold almost entirely on it's marketing ploy(and many will admit it was not even that great) yet it did very well, Final Fantasy VII was also a game under heavy Sony marketing, also a triumphant success. Marketing can sell a game if you only know how to hype it. Sony KNOWS how to hype a game.
-Every single preview, review, hands-on, whatever has been nothing but glowing for LBP. No one in the actual gaming world can find even the tiniest of flaws within the game without nitpicking. The game could actually be flawless, getting 10s when it actually comes out meaning the PS3 has recieved 3 10 grade level AAA titles in one year(MGS4,GTA4,LBP), that would be mindblowing.
-User generated hype, ala me, and the OP, as well as many others who are super hyped for this game. The hype is catching and spreading like wildfire.

I trully believe this game simply CANNOT fail, there is just too much going right for lt. It is the second coming of Zelda:Ocarina of Time or Final Fantasy VII, it will be remembered throughout history....

Hmm I believe people said the same thing about MGS4, about it defining the gen and being the greatest game ever before it was actually released.

Why can't people wait until the game gets released, I hope it doesn't turn out like Too Human or Lair, cause that would be terrible. Many sites would crash. With Zelda TP I learnt not to overhype anything else again. But only Sony fans are hyping most of their exclusive games like hell and then if reviews aren't perfect what would happen?

Better to remain silent just in case.

amen, and they don't sell even close to MGS4 considering the wii more than twice userbase.

I'm still shocked MGS4 has reached 4 million world wide. IF they happen to drop price on the title, it could easily do even more sales.

Than if they re-release it, it will boost it even more, giving it life time 5million + shipped. Now those aren't numbers to scoff at.

I have my doubts about this game, but do I doubt I would have it preordered if I had a PS3? No.

There are plenty of doubters and haters of LBP. Why?- well it's obvious, isn't it.
1. Don't have a PS3, so I hate SONY, [good reason to hate something]
2. Can't stand cutesy games that should be on the Wii, [ignorance is bliss].

And yes, I have seen enough bashing of this stellar masterpiece from this site.

And NO, this thread was not created to talk about ferkin' sales!

Funny that you mention those, but not the big-budget successful ones like Brawl and Mario Galaxy :p Bias much?
