Do we know of any other primates that throw feces at those they dislike when instinct takes over? Well, there's something to think about.

I'm 100% sure Gears 2 will be better, but many big sequels don't do as well as the original because of similar situations.

Then there are one's where there is an increase Halo 2 and GTA Vice City/SA.  But Halo 2 added online (a very big jump) and GTA doesn't have a connecting story.

I think Gears of War 2 will reach 7.000.000 in sales. If you ask me why the only thing I can say to you is that everyone of my friends are waiting for the game.

I think the game will have more sales than GeoW, but it will not reach Halo 2 or Halo 3 level. It has a chance of outselling Halo:Combat Evolved

I think it will pass cod4 sales, but lifetime will be aroun 7.5 million

It will not if it gets noobified like Halo 2 did. Gears might sell slightly higher than Gears 1 during launch, but not as much as you think.

I dont think Gears 2 will sell as many units as Gears 1. Gears 2 was unchallenged during that holiday season, but this year its got to deal with loads of other games, and it isn't graphically superior to all the games any more.
