Because we spend so much of our time arguing over video games (ugh, that's so silly), I know it can get frustrating at times to be on different "sides" than other people. For example, I can say, unashamedly, that I prefer the Wii; it's just the console that I like the best. But that doesn't mean I don't respect the opinions and thoughts of people on this board who prefer the 360 or PS3. Some of them are trolls, sure, but a lot of them aren't.

So with that in mind, I encourage people to give credit to people they often end up disagreeing or arguing with. If you disagree with, but respect a poster, say so here. I'll give my list:

Please note that I didn't list the people with whom I usually agree: the people I've listed are those that I often end up arguing with -- even arguing heatedly -- but not because I dislike them. 

I recognize that, and that's fine. If they'd like to be included on my list, then they can behave in a way that deserves my respect.

As a Wii fan, I'm keenly aware of the constant danger this site faces of driving off everyone who is not a Wii fan. I have no interest in keeping the Larry/Washumuls around, but I personally have a lot of interest in keeping Sony/Microsoft fans around who are intelligent and kind. My list is intended to create an impression: I may disagree with a lot of your opinions, but I'm glad you're around here and I hope you stay. 

So yes, you're absolutely correct. Implicit in this is a recognition that I don't want people I consider trolls to continue sticking around.

I respect anyone that works for a living... and have no respect for anyone that lives off the success or handouts from another.

Im getting requests to close this topic and I was thinking to close it but if you guys dont say anything bad about anybody I dont see why this can stay. Be nice please?
