Forums - Nintendo - The origins of Star Fox

The Star Fox part begins at 1:30 or so. I never knew that was where he got the idea. In fact, I'm not sure too many people would go from point A to point B like Miyamoto did...

I'd love to see this whole series. Very interesting.

I'll see what I can do. No promises, though, and it'll have to wait until late tomorrow at the earliest.

Wow, that's pretty cool.

I'll be here.

Neat--I didn't know about the god thing, and I like to consider myself an expert on Miyamoto, especially the origin of his game ideas. Thanks!

Although, this is only the origin of Nintendo's 'Star Fox' series. The first game called 'Star Fox' debuted in arcades decades earlier, though it was by a different company and the two have nothing to do with one another. Thelawsuit from that company is actually why Nintendo had to change the name to Lylat Wars in Europe.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

wow great find

Pretty nice vid. It's very intresting to see how Shigeru comes up with his ideas. The man has a pretty unique take on some things ^-^

I remember when Star Fox came out and reading an interview explaining how Shiggy came up with the idea.

It takes a whole new level of genius to go from arches in a Japanese garden to Star Fox but that's how Shiggy operates. We see A to B, he sees A to Z.
