Forums - Sony - Mirror's Edge - PS3 Timed exclusive?

Game looks great. We'll have to get some kind of confirmation for this, before it's confirmed(lol, obviously), but it seems plausible. The less games I gotta buy in 08, the better.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Hope soo, This game will make u SICK

Fixed. Rolling and jumping in first person view, I'm pretty sure there are people that will get sick from that, hell my friend gets a little dizzy from FPS and this is waaay more movement involved. Anyways, this game looks OK, doesn't seem like a MAJOR game so I don't think that Sony possibly buying Time exclusivity for this game is a dumb move. Now Fallout 3, that'd be a big game or Rock Band 2...oh wait MS beat sony to it.

lol, Your friend aint Hardcore enough then :P

Not exactly on my radar, but this game got a lot of good press at E3. Good move on Sony's part if this is true.

pointless. the game doesn't look that impressive. Well the first few videos got me hooked but then i found it it's not an open world omfg like omgwth!

It's possible that this is a European exclusive. Microsoft managed to get EA to make Rock Band exclusive to the 360 in Europe for a good chunk of time so it's entirely possible that Sony has done the same for Mirror's Edge.

If it's worldwide and not just in Europe... maybe it's just me but I think that'd be quite the coup.

Kinda cool

4 ≈ One

even if this is true for only Europe i think its a bit lame that Sony goes after a game like this....i dunno. it looks neat but the gameplay may be tiresome quickly. a big Meh for me.

Hah, that's about as bad as the people who said they were going to throw up after playing Super Mario Galaxy.

I'm sure some people can get motion sickness from a game like this...but anybody who can play a typical FPS can play this.  In fact I'd welcome some vertigo...if the game makes me feel a little dizzy while jumping off a rooftop I consider that immersive.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I personally find this game to be very cool and unique, but I don't think this will affect much in the long run if true.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Don't be so quick to write it off just because it's not open world.  PoP: Sands of Time wasn't open world either, but it's platforming sequences were extremely well done imo.
