Yeah I created a thread about those kinda adds a while ago, but thanks to Twesterms advice about AdBlockPLus, it's a lot better now. It's was the mosquito one that annoyed me, that excrutiating noise.

Weird..i've never noticed an ad with sound from this site( I'm using Firefox 2 but i haven't installed adblock). Only time i heard a sound while surfing here was when Ben embedded the Metal Gear theme in the Smash bros thread. Had about 20  tabs open and it drived me  crazy trying to figure that out.

Most irritating add that i've noticed(not here) was one advertising new emoticons that couldn't stop talking.(example: angel face: "oh behave!" cry repeated times infinity.) 

I listen to/watch a lot of podcasts, music, videos throughout the day and have my sound system on all the time (at varying volume levels) and there is nothing more disconcerting than coming here and having that awful voice shouting at me about ipod nanos or iphones.

I appreciate vgchartz news, message boards, and of course, especially the data.. but these ads are starting to make it bothersome to visit as often as I have been previously.

I'm pretty sure its the "ValueClick Media" banner ads that are loaded from media.fastclick.net
