wow, only 1.2 Million shipped worldwide in the six months of this year. And NPD puts the number sold in USA along higher than that I'm fairly certain.
Looks like those channel stuffing rumours were true.

So who wants to tell nexgenwars they need to adjust their numbers before their count exceeds the number of units MS shipped? (They are 'reporting' 11.326M sold as I write this.)
Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.

nexgenwars.com estimates are severely inaccurate

I'm pretty sure I remember them being up near the 11.9 million mark a while ago, all the while laughing at VGChartz for underreporting.
They go of MS "shipped" number anyway so I reckon we'll see it jump up to 11.6 million

Everyone knew MS overshipped, but IMO, they did the right thing by overshipping. They knew they had the potential to out-sell the other systems (which they did), but not by the decicive numbers they felt they needed.
IMO, I never expected MS to reach the 12m goal. Hopefully they realize that they can't reach their goals when consumers aren't willing to buy due to the repair issues, and price. They've fixed one, now lets hope #2 gets fixed on at MS's keynote at E3.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
Their original target was 13-15m, which was reduced to 12m....but they stated originally, that this was supposed to be sales, not shipment.
With the news of extra costs to the extent of $1billion for broken 360's and extended warranties, I very much doubt they will reduce the cost of the 360 now...and if they do...it won't be by much.
I'm surprised and actually shocked that the sales have deminished to the levels they are not at. Forget about the shipments of the unit. They stated that they would sell 10m units exactly 1 year after launch...it has taken them 18-19 months to break the 10m sales barrier and as it happens, alot of these sales could be replacement models for a fair number of broken units. Numbers floating around to the extent of 2.5m broken units from the 10m sold is a ridiculous amount of breakages. Effectively on average 1 in 4 units sold have had problems. WOW!!!
Anyway, I reckon they are way behind in there projections and I bet they cannot wait for Halo 3 and GTA4 to be released to help them out.

~ Oh and some rpgs and more stradegy games on xboxlive. I could really care less about some 80's game remake. |
give the core a small harddrive??? now thats dumb what do you want a 5 gig??? internal memory probably takes up that much alone...

To be fair to Microsoft, they said "13-15 million," not "15 million," so they really only cut their estimate by 1 million...
...
...
And then missed it by 400K.

It should be interesting to see how GTA4 sells on the 360 compare to the PS3.
eh, not so bad. Now the are at normal stock levels for what they are selling. Now only the Wii needs to normalize.
