Forums - Gaming - I'm saving up the money which should I get 360 or PS3?

Eh Little Big Planet is one of those games that may be really big or become an epic fail IMO but personally it isn't my style =\

Well, they both have some good exclusives, and multiplats are usually more or less equal between them... Since you say you don't care about bluray, I think I would go with 360 simply because of the controller. I just don't like Sony's thumbsticks. Interface is probably the most important aspect of a console, and 360's is better.

If you said you wanted to watch DVDs, the PS3 upscales them. From what I've heard, it gets it close to BR level.

You'll also wanna think about what games you want to play. PS3 obviously has MGS4. You might enjoy Uncharted, etc... i'm fairly certain you know what games you want so I wont go down that road.

I'd just pick whichever console you foresee yourself getting more quality hours out of, whether playing games or multimedia or anything. Also, keep in mind, if you're gonna play the 360 games online, factor LIVE costs in. If it's exclusive like Halo 3, then you might as well pay it. If it's like COD4, or other multiplats, then you're prob better off with the PS3.

Yeah I know I love the 360 controller and have always kinda hated the Sony controller ever since PS1... it's basically the SNES controller with 2 thumbsticks (oddly placed), extra shoulder buttons, and hand grips. While 360's controller feels much better, has cheaper headsets, and the wired controllers also work on PC which is a nice plus.

Since you don't seem to like the PS3 very much, why did you ask which one to get?

Proud Sony Rear Admiral

IF you find a PS3 with backwards compatibility, hell, go for that. Amazing gaming library right there. But in my personal opinion, if you don't, get a 360. Even though you'll miss out on MGS4, there are a lot of other good games to tide you over in pretty much every genre.

One of the big advantages of XBOX360 to me is the XBOX Live content. I see a lot of exclusives that PSN doesn't have.

I personally like the controller much better, which do you like better?

more games at 60 fps as opposed to PS3s 30 fps.
I have a HDTV, I want better performance.
also, XBOX Live can download HDTV programming. Can PS3 do this?

outside of software these are things that it can do at a cheaper price OOB (out of the box).

Also I like the free 2D game design devolopment software Microsoft is offering as well.

What do you think?
