I can't say this for the rest of America, but I think ToV was understocked. Most places I know of, sold out of it. I think it'll have some good legs. Hopefully Namco gives this game some decent marketing.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Marketing? I haven't seen or heard a single bit of marketing for Tales of Vesperia. Lost Odyssey was promoted quite a lot in the United States. Namco really doesn't (from my understanding) have good marketing know-how in the US. Fortunately, ToV did sell over twice as many copies as Eternal Sonata did in the US week 1....ES had a 6x multiplier, and I think ToV could have that kind of run if Namco promotes it (mind you, it's a fantastic game that will continue to get good WoM).

Yes, LO was advertised but for the amount it got, I'm suprised it didn't sell a million copies(in America alone). Namco are dumb when it comes to marketing their Tales games even though they do fine for their Soul Calibur games. Even, Square-Enix are trying to make Infinite Undiscovery sell.
can some1 remind me why this game cant be released in the uk, the last time i checked we speak the same language, this is 1 of the only jap games im might have brought

That would explain why its still sold out everywhere here...I hope your right Stickball. And freaking Namco isn't helping Tales situation any either.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
| Soriku said: Namco's stupid. They make GREAT games but the way they execute selling them...they just fail. |
It was the same thing with Klonoa 2 for PS2. Fantastic platformer, but ZERO advertising. So it more then miserably failed.

It's generally the Tales series Namco are bad at marketing. They do Soul Calibur just fine(looks at SCIV's sales)

ToV and Klonoa 2 get little to no advertsing yet Square-Enix will advertise Infinite Undiscovery. What's wrong with these publishers?
