Disgaea really looks decidedly awesome in a lot of ways, kind of bringing things back to the tactics Ogre/ Final Fantasy Tactics days where there was HUGE amounts of customization and hundreds of hours of play. The hardcore Atlus style RPGs have always been the PS systems strong suit and I hope that continues. Games like Persona and Disgaea are why I'm not torn up about losing a few Tri Ace games to the 360. I would rather play one Atlus game then 100 Bandai Namco cheesefests. To anyone who hasn't played Persona 3 yet btw, go get it, now, I know you all have PS2s. If you like RPGs at all its just incredibly awesome, I would go as far to say the best PS2 RPG overall (though obviously FF edges it on graphics). Get the FES version for the added content (I actually bought it twice myself, weirdo that I am, once normal and then once more when the FES version with a completely new 50 hour addition came out.) |
First of all i can't wait for Disgaea 3!!! i nearly imported it.. but i waited....
Now Persona 3! awesome! if anyone hasn't played it.. get it! A friend of mine and I are goin to be doin some Cosplay here in a few weeks at Realms Con in Corpus Christi Texas, Shes goin to be Yukari and i'm goin to be Junpei, there might be a couple more if it all comes together right! but seriously get P3!

Yes.
If you like SRPG you should not pass this game up. I know those who HATE SRPG games but ABSOLUTELY love Disgaea.

Well, I'm actually going to buying the game for Blade and shipping it over. I was kind of surprised that it's not scheduled for an EU release, but it is Disgaea after all. A niche of a niche.

I gotta get a steady job for the evenings after school... save for buying a PS3 I have lots of titles I need to buy for it (espcially R2, VC, Disgaea, R&C: ToD, MGS4)+lots of titles for my GC.
This game is gonna be badass...

Hopefully it does not follow the route of the previous 2. Where it is shipped in limited quantities and becomes very difficult to find.
I am just glad I purchased 1 and 2 when they first released.

Read my above post. If history proves correct this game may become hard to find. If you want to play it and do not own a PS3 yet, still be sure to pick it up.
This tends to happen with many Atlus games.

Never played Srpg and i saw a couple of minutes of it and must say not my kind of game.
